Twitter has helped people worldwide on various issues but in India it has only helped people get into deep shit. This time it’s no different but for the better. Serial Entrepreneur, Annkur P Agarwal managed to raise funds through twitter for his new venture JussRelease. JussRelease is a Dial-a-Toilet service launched specially for the immigrant urban crowd who can’t find an open field during those emergency moments while on the move.
Interview with Annkur.
Q. First tell us about the name ‘JussRelease’.
Annkur: I had thought of JustRelease but my numerologist suggested that the name JustRelease was adding up to one more than my lucky number, as always. So i replaced ‘T’ with ‘S’ to form JussRelease. The same guru had advised me to put an extra ‘n’ in my name to overcome the dark clouds of SEO on the crowded web.
Q. Where did you get the idea of the business and why female toilet carriers.
Annkur: I wanted to venture into genuine adult friendship services as all the numbers that i had ever dialed to ease my horny thoughts would eventually turn out to be a man. I started with hiring some cheap Chinese girls and also advertised about it but no one ever called. On seeing my failure my guruji suggested that i should venture into logistics business. One dull day, i was reading a report that India has more mobiles than toilets and then Eureka struck. I zeroed to the idea of Dial-a-toilet service as it connected the dots.
Annkur’s friend and India’s most successful spammer on Twitter, @Netra, was candid in saying, “Whenever i don’t like cooking at home i manage to convince one of the media hungry companies to host a #tweetup, which is my small contribution towards Social Media Marketing in India. After getting crazy over free food that Annkur always does at such #events, he feels the pressure. But a bad experience at Sulabh one day provoked him to launch this service.” On the funding she said, “As a true friend i had to ease his pressure and decided to help him raise money through twitter. I classified his campaign as #UFF MAA! (Using Foolish Followers for Monetization and Acquisition). As a thumb rule strategy i tweeted about it every 41.2 minutes with different #hashtags and directed everyone to Annkur’s Paypal account.” She revealed her time tested strategy that the interval between tweets should be equal to the outside temperature else twitter may mark it as spam.
It’s too early to say whether the service will help anyone ease pressure or not but self proclaimed ponytailed management guru, Arindam Chotiwala, condemned the business model saying, “Annkur is suffering from my trademark pending philosophy called ‘i have a loose end’ syndrome and his chances of making loose motions in pressure is very high. But i like that he has adopted my copyrighted tagline of ‘release early, release often’.”
