Mumbai. Soon after the success of Phoonk 2 (that’s what RGV thinks), Ram Gopal Verma has decided to direct yet another movie and this time it’s an action thriller. For his next success RGV has already bought rights for Planet Of The Apes from Tim Burton.
On contacting RGV, he were told, “Yes it is true that I will be directing the movie, it is titled “Vannar Raj”. The lead role is done by the monkey who recently debuted in Housefull. He did an excellent in his very first appearance. Which was apparent from the fact that he had a longer role than one of the actresses, Jiah Khan.”
The monkey’s voice in the movie will be given by none other than Udit Chopra who seemed very happy on receiving this offer. He remarked, “If Saif can be a dog and Kareena a bitch even I should never have problem being natural. Also, this is an important moment in my career as my dad, Mr. Yash Chopra, did not have to lobby for this voice-over. I hope i will get to act someday as well, probably doing body double for the monkey.”
The villain would be played by R.K Pachauri given the similarity of his looks he has with apes.
On this RGV commented, “Since I make low budget movies, taking Pachauri would save my make up costs.”
Pachauri who seemed busy figuring out what went wrong in his global warming report said, “I always wanted to do a movie and this one being a science fiction will go good with my real world persona. I know RGV is taking me in to save makeup costs. I did consult my PR agency and they advised that anything related to saving is good for my publicity.”
Our well placed sources have revealed that the story is about a girl, played by Nisha Kothari as usual, who drowns in a bath tub while taking a very hot shower and reaches in the world of apes. There the king of the apes, Agyaat Bandaram, played by Pachauri, sees the girl and wants to make to ape her to bed. The girl is saved by the Housefull’s monkey. What follows is a highly action packed flick with pseudo scientific dialogues revealing the secrets of the monkey underworld. Though not much is known about the climax of the movie, but RGV has said that it will be as interesting as Phoonk2’s climax, if not less.
The movie is set to release sometime around June, probably giving a fight to the much awaited Amir Khan’s Bata Se Bata Tak.
